Common Core Standards

PlanbookEdu is one of the first sites to incorporate the Common Core Standards into its software. The Common Core State Standards Initiative is a state-led effort to establish a shared set of clear educational standards for English language arts and mathematics that states can voluntarily adopt. Over 25 states have adopted the standards so far.

Undo!

Ever make a change and immediately after you hitting the "Save" button realize that you edited the wrong box? Now for any change you make on your plans an undo link will appear in the box. Click that and everything will go back to the way it was before.

Use Last Year's Plan This Year

Many teachers have similar plans from year to year. We wanted to take the hassle out of having to start with a clean planbook each year and give teachers the ability to use an old planbook as a starting point. Now you can take an old planbook and copy it, adjusting all the dates to match your new school year.

Copy and Move Your Plans Around the Week

Making quick adjustments to your plans is now easier than ever. Last year we added the quick edit feature (just double click in any box). This year we've added the ability to drag your plans around the calendar. Simply grab the green arrows with your mouse and drop the plan in a new spot. A menu will appear and you can choose whether to copy or move your entry.

Have A Great Year!

As always, please let us know what you like, and what needs improvement. We love hearing from our members! Best wishes from all of us at PlanbookEdu for a productive, enjoyable school year.

It would great if we could have the option of adding additional titles to the top. For example "Ms.Kim's Kindergarten Class". Also, it would be nice to see the actual date next to the day of the week when it prints out.

It would be nice to view and print by the day only.

I support the above idea of the date next to the day of the week on the printed out pages. I would also like to see a feature (if one does not already exist that I am overlooking) that would allow me to copy from one planbook to another.

I would appreciate having the standards listed for world language instruction. Hope they'll be added before long!

We have a modified block schedule. MO-TH-FR, we have an 8 period day, but TU/WE, we have only 4 long periods. I'd like to be able to have my planbook reflect that schedule.
